About Garrison * Brough* Ward * Benoit * Kastler * Van Auken
Please feel free to come in and browse. Ten years of research has gone into this small amount of history. History that can come alive in your mind and can be felt with a small chill when you find a new name. It becomes an obsession and a passion to find just one more name, just one more link.
Along with my names and birthdates, I have tried to find out a bit about the locations that our family lived in. As an example to you, Our Peter Brough and Catherine McGreggor came from Craigend ,Scotland. Craigend is a village in Perth and Kinross. Craigend is situated between the River Earn and the River Tay , a mile south of Perth. It lies on the former main road to perth from the south and near a former railway juntion. Grab a map or atlas and glimps a bit of your heritage.
Aunt Linda(Garrison)Rogers has told me that she remembers great grandma Grace(Brown)Garrison, telling about her childhood. It seems that while a very young girl her Chippewa family ran from the military so as not too be put onto a reservation. They would go over the border of Canada and then back down to the States when no longer threatened. Her grandmother never told her where they were, just that it was out West.
Anyone that has information to share or add to this site is welocme to contact me. I would enjoy hearing from you. If you are a relative please sign my guestbook. Include where you live also.
